Series Part I: The Teacher - Geshe Sonam Gurung

Length: [5:09]

In this video, we meet Geshe Sonam Gurung who shares his journey from becoming a monk in India at the age of nine to returning to Mustang to support his community. After completing advanced studies in Bön philosophy and serving as an assistant to His Holiness 33rd, he established the Mustang Culture and Education Center to provide education for children, protect local traditions, and eventually re-establish monastic and meditative practices in the area. The video offers insight into the vision of cultural renewal through education, spiritual practice, and community support.

Series Part III : About Stupa

Length: [4:09]

About Stupa explores the meaning and purpose of stupas in the Tibetan and Bön traditions. Seen as three-dimensional mandalas, stupas house relics and scriptures of enlightened masters, serving as sites of connection, remembrance, and spiritual blessing. Through offerings, prostrations, or simply passing by with awareness, practitioners can accumulate merit, purify emotions, and cultivate humility and inner peace.

Series Part II : What is Pilgrimage

Length: [5:09]

What is Pilgrimage explores pilgrimage as a form of spiritual practice rather than tourism. Pilgrims walk mindfully, recite mantras, and engage in reflection as they follow trails once used by yogis and enlightened masters. The journey becomes a retreat in motion — a way to connect with the energy of holy sites, deepen one’s practice, and honour the living tradition of Bön & Tibetan Buddhism.
